Six degrees of separation

You know how they say that most of the world could connect to one another through six people. Funny how that works. Last Saturday night Melissa took me out to Ann Arbor comedy club for my birthday, a fun filled evening. While sitting there I looked over to the couple sitting next to us and see the he had on a Carlsberg beer rugby jersey on, which made me smile, being a beer I enjoyed drinking while in Hong Kong. So I had to say something about, like nice shirt and great beer I have more than my share while in Hong Kong, Funny that's where I got it from he told me. Which lead into this conversation how we where both in the navy stationed in the same port about the same and how we both knew some of the same people and how different we used to hang out at. For all I know we could sat on the same bar and even shared a drink and talked for all I know. All because he had chosen to wear that shirt that night. If I was connected to this guy by a bartender named Tac or different friends from former life how else am I connected with everyone else? As we get older our worlds keep getting smaller and smaller. So get connected with life and life will connect with you. Thanks Frank and Crystal, be blessed

$ 2.70 per gallon

Today I saw gas at $2.70 a gallon what a deal. I don’t mind spending three dollars a gallon it makes us slow down a bit. What kills me is how it can jump up .20 plus cents over night. So you spend more on gas so we don’t get to eat more often, big deal guess what you spend an evening eat a home cooked meal. Yes I can say that because I do cook at home its not Melissa job its split we both do it. If we get excited about gas at $ 2.70 what are going to do when it jumps but up even higher next and it will just give time. So relax buy so gas and drive when you can and enjoy what we have, because walking aint so bad.

Eyes of a child

Tonight Keturah went for a walk as we both like to do, and we took Jake and we took turns walking him. For those who have not meet or seen him he a Rottweiler lab mix about a hundred pound dog. The sight of Keturah walking such a big dog that out weight three times over is funny to see but Jake just walks with me telling him to heal every so often,

The most fun we have is picking flowers for Melissa, we walk by some beautiful flower bed and she does not even give a second look instead so will walk pass to see a flower/weed and that’s the one for mama or anything that anyone else might dismiss as flower but not her. And her asking daddy do snakes bite? Some does baby girl is my answer, but what about little ones. All the time just looking for the right one to pick to give to her mom.

As Keturah walks Jake she trusts that he will not drag her down the road and that I will not let him drag her along. Just as we will trust in the Lord for him lead along the right path in life. Even when the path seems very unclear we trust in him. For he is our Father and in him we trust.

Psalm 40:4
Blessed is the man who makes the LORD his trust, who does not look to the proud, to those who turn aside to false gods.
